The Quail Bell Crew is pleased to announce that Jessica Reidy has officially joined our team as a staff writer! You may have read some of her poetry on The Unreal or her essays on Romani culture and stereotypes, among other pieces on The Real, already. Ms. Reidy is a Pushcart-nominated writer, creative writing instructor, and Kripalu Yoga teacher based in Tallahassee, Florida where she is completing her MFA in Fiction. This semester she is teaching a class on Creative writing and Romani representation & culture at Florida State University. She is also writing her first novel about Coco Charbonneau, a half-Romani woman who works as a fortune teller and burlesque dancer at the enchanted Zenith Circus in post-WWII Paris. Christine Stoddard conceived the idea for Quail Bell in late 2009 after writing a children's story by the same name, and launched the website as a college blog in 2010.
