A Part of the Local Alternative CommunityYou don't have anything better to do on October 8th than go to the Richmond 'Zine Festival in Richmond, VA. That's because there is nothing better than going to a 'zine fest. While you're there, you might as well stop by our table. We wouldn't mind a little company and perhaps even a dash of flattery. You can buy our newly printed 'zine, Quail Bell Express, right then and there, too. If nothing else, we're proud to be a part of Richmond's alternative community! And we'll be proud of you for supporting it.

Um...who's Paisley Hibou?Remember those little sexpots in Victorian literature? The severely misunderstood and habitually abused 'fallen women' who strutted their stuff and didn't care where the sun shone? At Quail Bell, we've got one of our own. Her name's Paisley Hibou. She's lethally clever and equally shameless.
This charmingly gaudy writer and personality appreciates all that's QB--the imaginary, the nostalgic, and the otherworldly. Generally, though, her tastes veer toward the raunchiest of these subjects. She loves to research the dirty chunks of history your textbooks failed to mention. She's also big on commenting on things you probably never even noticed before. Call her 'observant of obscurity.' At least that's how she refers to her eccentric gift. Check out Paisley Hibou's latest QB contribution, "Shading the Naughty Bits." The Breadcrumbs widget will appear here on the published site.
No deadline for those ads of yours!Your ads keep QB alive. If you like our content and want our staff & contributors to have something to eat, consider placing an ad. You can advertise whatever you'd like...seriously. We'll even take fake ads.
