The Big MoveExecutive Editor Christine Stoddard is moving to Washington, D.C.--an established city for journalists, a blossoming city for designers, and home to one of the biggest theatre scenes in the United States. Sure, the city doesn't have the most creative reputation, but that's only because its political one is so huge that it can't help but overshadow the rest of the metro's industries. In truth, there's a lot going in D.C. best politics (not that our fledglings don't enjoy the occasional feminist rant.)
What does Christine's new life mean for QB? More fun, more mayhem, and more content. Don't worry. This blog will keep rolling! Many of the blog's main contributors are staying in Richmond, but Christine's move also means a greater potential for D.C. contributors to join The QB Crew. Expect a jump in D.C.-based content, as well as content about the surrounding area, from Northern Virginia to Southern Maryland to Baltimore and more. Unlike Richmond, D.C. is also home to many big traveling centers, which will make it easier for Christine to skip town and tell you more about the world through writing and photography. Trips to Philly and NYC alone will be much easier. So here's to wanderlust--and many new adventures! Because the imaginary, the nostalgic, and the otherworldly exist everywhere.
