Self-Care for Lazy EggsBy Ghia Vitale The Crème Shop has a limited edition Gudetama Tighter 'N Brighter Sheet Mask and it’s the epitome of kawaii skincare! Keep reading to learn more about what it’s like to try the Gudetama-themed face mask for a self-care session. If you haven’t heard already, I’ve been getting really into Gudetama. I’ve recently read some of Sanrio’s official Gudetama books such as Gudetama: Love for the Lazy by Wook Jin Clark and Gudetama’s Guide to Life by Brian Elling. I even went out of my way to do my own Gudetama-style egg ramen review. It’s obvious that this lazy egg is stealing my heart without exerting any effort whatsoever! I’ve become enchanted by an adorable egg spell and I’m too far gone to turn back now. About a week ago, a zit appeared on my chin. I usually don’t have much acne, but this sucker of a zit reared its angry, red head into everything that involves my face. It had two whiteheads as opposed to one. The swollen pimple is so pronounced, I can feel exactly where it is on my face. Simply put, it stands out and even hurts a bit, so I realized it’d be a good idea to do something about it. While I was trying to make the most out of my Amazon Prime membership, I decided to start looking for masks. That’s when I found the Gudetama Tighter ‘N Brighter Sheet Mask by The Crème Shop. This Sanrio collaboration caught my attention because the mask’s ingredients perfectly reflected the Sanrio character it was styled after. The primary ingredients are lemon for acne and oil control along with egg whites for tightening your pores. The package was cute, so I assumed the sheet mask would be cute as well. Turns out, I was right! (Editor’s note: For the love of avoiding the coronavirus, please wash your hands before putting on a sheet mask or touching your face! Thanks!) Complete with breakfast iconography, the white sheet has Gudetama-related designs on it. These designs include the actual Gudetama along with bacon, soy sauce, salt, a fork, and more. There are even bacon strip-eyebrows printed onto the sheet mask. I appreciate that this sheet mask lives up to the kawaii tone set by the packaging. Plus, I thought the mask was easy to unfold and position onto my face.
After the visuals, I noticed the scent. It was a mixture of zesty lemon with a clean aroma that I would imagine encountering in a drugstore aisle. I bet the eggs contributed to that effect. I was happy to put such a legit-smelling product on my face. The instructions said to wait for 10 to 15 minutes, so I spent that time listening to “Mooo!” by Doja Cat while writing down my observations. I relished each second of self-care as the sheet mask worked its magic on my skin. Trying the Gudetama sheet mask on a weekend was a good idea because it’s fun to wear and relaxing. It added an extra bit of luxury to my night as well. Afterward, my zit looked a tad less swollen. It still took a good “pop” to get rid of it, though. Overall, I recommend this Gudetama sheet mask to fellow Sanrio fans. It has the benefits of a sheet mask with the lazy magic of Gudetama all over it. You can’t go wrong with a purchase like that! Buy the Gudetama Tigher 'N Brighter Sheet Mask from The Crème Shop's official website, Amazon, or anywhere else that sells it. Stay happy, safe, and full of self-care!
