Enchanting and All-Natural I had been eyeing Crimson Sage Apothecary's products for a while. I love handmade and natural products and supporting the small businesses that make them, so I decided to give their products a try. The items arrived in beautiful packaging. Each item was wrapped in cute pink tissue paper and had a handwritten note from the owner included. The care put into the package was obvious, so I was looking forward to the care put into each one of the products as well. And I was not disappointed! I've broken down each product I received for your ease. Spring Equinox Tea I love tea. A lot. So I was thrilled to have gotten to try Crimson Sage's unique blend. Just in time for spring, they released a Spring Equinox mix, which is unfortunately no longer available. Like any tea, the strength of the flavor depends on how long it is steeped. After leaving it in about 10 minutes, the flavor was a light herbal mixture and a hint of gooseberry. I had forgotten to remove the bag, so it soaked even longer. When I tasted it after some time, the gooseberries became very prominent. Not enough to be gooseberry juice, but enough for it to be considered gooseberry tea with a side of herbs. I personally adored the flavor, but if you're not a fan of herbals or berry teas, then another flavor may be best for you. Don't worry, there are plenty of other selections, both seasonal and permanent! Lime Light Lip Balm This product is great for spring OR summer! It reminds me a lot of the retired Bath & Body Works scent Coconut Lime Verbena. It has a fresh and inviting scent and has just the right hint of lime, including some decorative lime peel shavings on the top. It is a perfectly light yet moisturizing formula ideal for soaking up the sun, so it will be my go-to formula during summer vacation. Lugh's Solar Bath Soak Inspired by the Irish God of the Sun, these bath soaks have ingredients that will remind anyone of a warm, summer's night. Even though I was very excited to try these out, it took me a while to actually do it. I have a hilariously small bathtub, so relaxing baths feel more like if a spa met a New York subway. Even so, I loved how refreshingly earthy these smelled. The sunflower petals made the mixture feel more mystical while also emphasizing the all-natural promise of the products. The primary scents were the orange and tangerine, but neither overpowered the other ingredients. If you're totally over artificial citrus scents, then this is the change you're looking for in a bath soak. Spring Flora Smudge Bundle While I never use smudges, I love this as a gorgeous springtime decoration. It is artfully put together to eliminate negative energy from a space and is a great way to welcome springtime. Each one comes with an instruction card that you can follow to get the most out of your smudge. It comes in either a Spring Garden or Spring Love version! Bidrune Even though I am not a practicing witch, I think anyone could admire the work put into making each bidrune. Like the tea and bath soaks, Crimson Sage produces seasonal bidrunes perfect for the occasion or energy you are looking for.
Overall Verdict? If it wasn't obvious before, I will definitely be using Crimson Sage as a go-to for bath, body, and other products. The care and devotion this shop puts into their products and customers is highly evident, so you will never receive something that isn't made with the highest quality. If you're like me and have been wondering if you should go for it, give them a try!
