By The Editors The Quail Bell Crew wants you to meet Brian Parker, actor and CEO of NPower Network, a platform for films, TV shows, music videos, podcasts, and more. We're proud (and excited!) that NPower, which launched in 2020, has streamed multiple Quail Bell Press & Productions films and videos, in addition to content from a wide variety of other creative producers. Check out the NPower livestream or videos on demand for a good time, as well as thought-provoking programs. But before you do, find out what Mr. Parker has to say about running a media company—with, may we add, humor and poise: How would you sum up NPower Network's identity and programming? NPower is a platform for up-and-coming content providers to showcase their work, giving millions of people around the world the opportunity to view, share, and like. What inspired you to start NPower Network? Being an actor, I came across many creatives, including filmmakers, and I felt there was a void for them to have a platform designed for them. Many of the larger production companies and filmmakers have no problem getting their content aired on major networks. But, many of our content creators may not score a deal with Netflix or Amazon. For many of them, the highest recognition they receive are film festivals, which are very good, but after [the festival circuit ends], the works just end up on their YouTube page. We definitely want to keep their content alive on our network. What kind of experience do you hope viewers will get from watching NPower? I want our viewers to become exposed to the vast amount of talent. I want them to be able to realize that there are great stories and creations far past major television networks. Many of our viewers they are called cord cutters, which means they have canceled their cable subscriptions or simply don’t have them to begin with. They depend heavily on apps. We want them to see the value in adding our platform to their apps. With your background in both acting and management, what has it been like programming others' content as well as developing and appearing in your own content? It’s a lot. But I love it. I love being able to help showcase others talents and I have taken the opportunity to do my own show as well and it’s somewhat therapeutic for me. What are some of your favorite pieces you've aired? Well, not to single out any of our partners, I’ll focus on my show Head 2 Head. We did a tribute to the late great Chadwick Boseman. It was very emotional but it was a great time to reflect on many of his projects. What should potential sponsors know about NPower? We definitely want to partner with a variety of people. We would love to have folks that want to be able to advertise their goods, services, events, or their business. Even if it’s simply a 30 to 45 second spot, we will certainly work with everyone. Anything you'd like to add? Absolutely. We want to thank everyone who has supported us over the last five months. We are looking to expand in the next few months to other platforms including Amazon Fire, Apple TV, and Google TV. Right now, we are currently streaming on Roku TV. Watch the NPower livestream.
