The fonz flying over those barrels in milwaukee, wi
We had some
fleshed-out stick figure tippy-toe cross the tippy-top of The Twin Towers of The World Trade Center couple decades ago & remember that smudged newsprint picture in the paper on our breakfast table way back there in the nineteen-seventies like it was just yesterday high up there in the smog & pollution of my hometown of New York City as a holy wide-eyed mischievous kid with mad soul & spirit (N.Y. Times to be more exact–“All The News That’s Fit To Print”) with this idiot madman #2 son trapeze artist thought holy shit that’s complete craziness someone who just appeared to have way too much time on his hands & had the nerve & balls to do it. Couple decades later had fanatics fly planes into it & strangely enough having become so damaged over the ages was able to actually believe it & really not able to comprehend it until like some long-lost profound psychological trigger about ten years later suddenly hit me intuitively out of nowhere having been there & a native New Yorker ironically weeping in a newspaper truck while delivering papers at dawn in some god awful godforsaken suburb; Just recently had this daredevil dude (think they said was the seventh generation of one of those Flying Wallendas) tightrope the drip-drop sandcastle geological formations of The Grand Canyon right over that beautiful expanse of the Colorado River & remember I think somewhere around the mid-seventies that madman Evel Knievel in red white & blue bicentennial uniform flying over it on his motorcycle, not sure if he made it or not (was actually irrelevant as everything when it comes down to it really is) like the fearless Fonz flying over all those barrels of gas? Beer? Also queerly inconsequential in the fictional suburbs of Milwaukee, Wisconsin & stopped him freeze-frame suspended in mid-air until we had to wait the impulsive, little creatures we were for the next episode literally like a week later same bat time same bat channel. We’ve had several people out of desperation probably for pretty damn good reason take their lives jumping off The Brooklyn Bridge & Golden Gate Bridge & had the first quote on quote American finally traverse the pockmarked face of the moon after a ragged & wasted clothesline string of assassinations & then make some grand fantastic humble histrionic confession somewhere way up there out there in the competitive constellations. These days we appear to have a whole population of kids & singles & idiot housewives & landscapers looking all self-important addicted dedicated delusional & codependent on their cellphones & contraptions so I don't know in my opinion we still just have not quite managed to capture or find that little slice of Heaven secret magical potion & solution to ever get happy or contented kind of like ever finding the cure for the common cold if you kind of somehow get what I’m talking Would have loved to have met that guy who got inspired to write that blues song Blue Moon…
