A Cynic’s Epistle to Love
By Craig Kurtz
QuailBellMagazine.com “Whether the Charmer sinner it, or saint it,
It’s been a long, long time
since I took up a lover’s rhyme. Maybe I wax a bit enchanted wanting to be took for granted.
Has my heart gone pitter-patter
for feigned pledges that don’t matter? Is it just the time of year to crave caresses insincere? How could I not desiderate kisses incommensurate? Perhaps it’s just my bachelorhood but I need to get beshrewed. Oh, how I yearn for flirtation, brawling with some harridan. And wherefore do I mull ’tis great entreating clouts upon my pate? I must have on rose-colored lens to want a mate who hates my friends. Or have a mate who, better yet, is, to my friends, a fast coquette. Perhaps I’m feeling too lonely but I yearn for cuckoldry. How is it I get saccharine to want to be someone’s gudgeon? Here I court the fate of Cupid’s dart to woo some trull who’ll null my heart. Just the thought of syphilis gets me good and amorous. Yes, it’s been too long a lull Since I begged to be a gull. I reminisce on the sweet heat which makes divorce such a treat. #Unreal #Poem #CraigKurtz #Cuckoldry #Lust #Temptation #Syphilis #Coquette #YouBet Visit our shop and subscribe. Sponsor us.
