Fire in the Woods
the logs aglow with yellow flame,
come water in your quenching turn
to make the fire tame.
Be sure to come in booming storm
and not in trembling little drops,
for only ‘neath your surest form
is fire sure to stop.
The shower that is weak of heart
evaporates and soon is lost
as fire burns the woods apart.
