Ideas for a Fairy Punk Easter Basket
‘Zines
Adding a couple of locally made ‘zines to the basket is a cool addition as opposed to second-rate candy. Not near a place that carries ‘zines? Etsy has many shops with ‘zines, so just type it in the search bar and explore! Some of my favorites include Basic Paper Airplane and Ilse Content sold by Antiquated Future. Plus, Quail Bell has its own set of print ‘zines if you need a little more quail love in your life! Colorful Lipstick I’m not talking about the typical shades; I’m telling you to go out and buy ethically made neon blue lipstick. Or electric green. Or a dark enough shade to get dirty looks walking through a conservative town. Maybe pick out their favorite color or something they wouldn’t imagine wearing and go out egg hunting with new confidence! Don't know where to start? Try ModGyrl Cosmetics! Gel Pens Specifically the kind you get from dollar tree with the sparkles in them. Any Fairy Punk will be thrilled to have new writing utensils to add to their collection. Not that they don’t already have a bunch, but spoil them anyways. Stickers There’s no bigger joy than getting a roll of sparkly stickers (*cough* Lisa Frank *cough*). Glitter Limited Too is supposed to be coming back, so when that happens, keep that watermelon scented roll-on glitter in mind. Handmade Journal Making journals isn’t as hard as it seems. Sure, you’re not going to make a pro-quality one, but it means more when it has been made by you (*insert more sap here*). Look up how to create one with a simple search on Pintrest. Not feeling crafty? Try starting with some Etsy businesses like Print Stitch and Paste! Fishnet Tights You don’t even have to wear them. Instead, catch Easter eggs in them, because why not? Faerie Magazine Fairy punks and Fledglings alike need some inspiration. When you’re done surfing Quail Bell, I highly recommend Faerie Magazine for its imagination and aesthetically pleasing layout. So stick a print issue in the basket and drool away! Fairy Dust Maybe glitter is already considered fairy dust, but a Fairy Punk wants something that feels magical without the mess.Try sneaking in a bottle of fairy or pixie dust into the basket! New Accessories Are you close friends with your Fairy Punk? Maybe you want a romantic gift? Get them somebadass jewelry that looks as magical as they feel!
