The trip to Greece was a life long dream, saved for and dwelled on for years. Alix knew if she made it there she would connect to her beliefs, her past, her heart, as she never had before.
The Greek Isles had mystery, history, magick! Just what she needed.
Salt spray bit her flesh seductively as the little boat skimmed the water to take her to her small hotel for the next two weeks.
The looming sprawl of white was not what she was expecting. It was more villa than hotel. She shot the driver a surprised look. "I can't afford that!"
He laughed, dusky face crinkling attractively in the sun. "But you can!" he insisted. "Pretty lady can afford."
Sure enough, this sprawling villa was to be her hotel. She didn't know how or why, but it was a dream come true. White splash against dazzling dark
rock, with a stretch of seductive beach laid out below.
It took no time for her to unpack, get her bearings, and run carelessly down to the sand where she tossed off her shoes and dashed into the water for a swim.
Turquoise waters were so clear, so unreal, she wanted to become a part of them. She laughed to herself. Wasn't it Poseidon who ruled the seas here? What a wonderful god he must be!
She felt a ripple of disconcert and frowned. The sun was godly too, yes? "Yes!" she blurted, wondering why she did that.
Her first day on a Greek Island left her slightly red, burnt and ecstatically happy.
Fresh grilled fish, too much ouzo and several dark eyed handsome men to dance with her rounded out the perfect day.
A beautiful woman watched her with warm curiosity as she let herself unwind in the open air bar. The woman felt oddly familiar.
The following days were spent sightseeing, eating local cuisine and drinking far too much of the local wines. Soon, she was lightly tanned and at ease in a bikini top and white shorts. People she hadn't known a few days ago now called her by name and waved to her wherever she went.
The Temple at Delphi drew her, something luring her like she was magnetized. Funny, she hadn't thought about it since her dedication fifteen years ago. She had almost dedicated herself to Apollo at her ceremony. The memory brought back a smile.
Now, here she was, in the land that breathed that ancient god to life! Had given him substance in her young mind and heart. How had she ever forgotten that thrill at the mention of his name? How? Was she that jaded over wannabes and wikkuns? Not the real wiccans she associated with, but those fad followers?
She found herself drawn to a desolate spot on the island, locals steered clear of because of ghosts and the gods' anger. She wasn't sure what that meant, but had to savor the beauty by herself.
Ritual tools, the bare necessities were with her, as she made her trip into the sea for a purification cleansing, submersing her entire body in the sea. She
came out, naked and glistening, feeling the heat of the sun on her wet flesh. It was so easy to just stretch out on a flat dark rock and soak up the magick, the heat of the day.
Leaning back she closed her eyes, mind drifting. Wasn't Apollo the one who often found mortals attractive? No...that could be most Greek gods,
couldn't it? They were all lusty, beautiful creatures!
She sighed at her thoughts, felt a soft breeze stir against her nipples, making them stiffen. Her breath caught at the sensation, and she ran a hand along her bare thigh, almost inviting.
The sun's glare grew brighter, more intense, so that it was too painful to open her eyes, so she didn't bother trying. Whispers in her head told her to not
fear, but she didn't anyway, she was too sated by sun and ritual to fear.
"I am here," the voice said again.
Her first thought was Apollo. The return was a soft chuckle.
"Maybe." The maleness was overwhelming.
The heat intensified, the light grew unbearably bright, hot; extreme. That was it. Heat grew, solidified, then caressed her thighs lightly.
A murmur, "Beautiful," slipped past her drugged senses.
Then her legs were parted, gently, insistently. She reached for her sunglasses, but warm hands clasped her hands, telling her, "Not yet."
But she wanted to see!
Again, she was told, "Not yet." She obeyed.
Warmth grew, pulsated like a super nova, then shimmered, through tightly closed eyelids, then the light eased to a soft haloed golden glow. The hands were still stroking her flesh, so intimate, so wonderful, so knowing. she groaned, opening to this marvelous seduction.
The warmth moved, formed, and she felt the lean muscle of a man move between her legs and penetrate her in one smooth, slow thrust. She groaned again, melting and loving it. "Now," he whispered thickly, voice sex laden and hypnotic. She slowly opened her own hazy eyes and moaned. He hurt her eyes, he was too beautiful!
Sweet, sensuous movements flowed from one to another, her clutching hands clinging, exploring, trying to learn this mystery lover who was no mystery. She knew him! She knew she did! He arched into her and she screamed her joy, he cried his own, again and again until both were limp and exhausted, but never sated.
"You know me," he told her softly, "You knew me many years ago...you gave yourself to me then..."
Apollo. It hit her. Oh my god! It was him? It was? Really?
His laughter confirmed it. "Yes, who were you expecting? Don Ho?" Another deep laugh. "Come, we have much lost time to make up for."
The locals steered clear of the spot for the next four days, the unusual blinding light too much for even them. It was a time to ignore the island's rare phenomenon and go about their daily lives.
