- Just because you have a camera doesn't mean you can take an interesting photo. Ouch? Well, it's true! Show us an understanding of composition, lighting, and color. Your subject should be obvious (though it shouldn't necessarily be presented in an obvious way). Your angles should be definite. Go for crispness and avoid fuzziness unless you have a darn good reason for it. Shun superfluous visual information. There's no need for clutter unless you're trying to make a point of something.
- Make sure whatever you send us is a high-resolution photograph. For our purposes, that means 300 DPI or higher. None of this 72 DPI nonsense, thank you very much.
- No single file you send us should exceed 10 MB in size. If it does, re-size it. Please don't clog our inbox--even if you have stellar photos!
