PreachBy Therese Tiger QuailBellMagazine.com After I speak, I want people to be so moved their mouths hang open. I want the whole world to like me really like me. It’s embarrassing. Sometimes I get my courage from people on reality TV. Believe it or not, two real housewives chartered a plane to hand cash to hurricane survivors in Puerto Rico. Then they went home and bought eyelashes and vagina steamers but so what. They did something. I wish I could worship myself like they do. Today I heard a former gangster speak about her addiction, son murdered, masters degree, her days in service to survivors, in that room a hush descended so wide you could hear a hundred silent prayers of gratitude. Our mouths hung open, she said everything there is nothing more to say. Comments

and you said everything, too.....some of your poems are so painful to read....as a sister I want to snatch you up and save you.....and yet we all went through similar scenarios.....I just didn't need saving; I had been taught to be alone. Comments are closed.
