Wonder Cat Kyuu-Chan is Too Cute To ResistWonder Cat Kyuu-Chan (also known as Fushigi Neko no Kyuu-Chan) by Nitori Sasami is almost too cute to be true. This kawaii manga is especially perfect for cat people. It’s a feel-good read I highly recommend. Light spoilers ahead! Wonder Cat Kyuu-Chan is a Japanese online comic. A new “chapter” is released every few days or so. Most of this manga is in the style of yonkoma (which translates to “4 panel”). Plus, all of the comics are free to read online. This only makes the manga’s kawaii goodness more accessible to the world. Wonder Cat Kyuu-Chan is about the loving relationship between a cat and his owner. It follows their daily lives and the little adventures they have together. If you want to lose yourself in a lighthearted manga, look no further. This manga doesn’t have a deep plot, but reading it will give you serious feels. I can’t count how many times I went “Aaaawww!” throughout the course of reading this manga. Hinata is an average guy with an above average kitten. He found this kitten in a box outside during the winter. Instead of leaving the kitty out in the cold, Hinata takes him in. He quickly realizes that this isn’t an ordinary cat. Instead, this cat does favors for Hinata in order to express gratitude for saving his life. Hinata names the cat Kyuu-Chan to name him after “kyuuto”, a Japanese term for cute. He couldn’t have picked a more fitting name. (Then again, the word “cute” doesn’t fully grasp Kyuu-Chan, but cuteness overload sure does.) Kyuu-Chan has a penchant for wearing bowties. He also wears little kitty socks on his paws. The bond between Hinata and Kyuu-Chan will melt your heart. Both are always doing things for each other. For instance, Hinata is always buying things for Kyuu-Chan. Kyuu-Chan, on the other hand, often does favors for Hinata without being asked. For instance, Kyuu-Chan came prepared to help Hinata clean by wearing an apron. They have a true friendship that you can’t help but admire. Both would do anything for each other. Kyuu-Chan is an outstanding kitten. Unlike an ordinary cat, Kyuu-Chan accompanies Hinata during trips into town. Kyuu-Chan takes Hinata to unknown locations that make great hangout spots. It makes me wonder if more kitties would be more involved in human activities if they had the capacity to understand language more. Kyuu-Chan’s kindness makes him a popular kitty around town. He often does nice things for people and humans can’t resist his charm. Sometimes, people take advantage of his good nature such as when construction workers only paid him 5 yen (5 cents) for doing hard labor. It seems like Kyuu-Chan will do anything for Hinata. It’s hard to conceive of how lucky Hinata is for having an actual wonder cat in his life. I enjoy Wonder Cat Kyuu-Chan because it shows a side of cats that people often don’t see. I bet there are plenty of cats who would do as much for their owners as Kyuu-Chan does for Hinata if they could. Many cats love their owners for reasons besides food. I don’t own a cat, but I love cats and I think they have souls. Reading manga like this gives me an outlet to express my love for cats. Interested? Read Wonder Cat Kyuu-Chan online. Your heart will turn into a puddle by the time you’re done with it. Remember: This series is still ongoing, so there’s more cuteness to come!
