Delicious Food and Other Mortal SinsMrs. Tizzoni lived around the corner from my father’s tiny butcher shop, just off Allegheny Avenue in Philadelphia. Most days right before closing, she’d pull her new ’58 Cadillac with its swept-back fins to the curb, push through the front door and smile. She had a big mouth with flashing white teeth. But Pop didn’t spend much time looking at her teeth. I’d just finished sophomore year in high school and wished my own bust line had grown half that size.
