Methods of Using CBD ProductsThere are many CBD products that are available on the market today, so you have to ask yourself which products will be best for you, and how do you use CBD? CBD comes in many forms: Oral, topical, and inhaled (vaped). Each one has a different method of ingestion, and the best method will depend on the reason for using it. Oral CBD CBD is most commonly taken in an oral fashion. This includes capsules, oils, and tinctures for sublingual delivery. Capsules Capsules come in a set dosage and are probably the easiest way to begin taking CBD. Capsules are swallowed and take around 45 minutes to disperse the active product into the body. People who are taking CBD for the first time, or to see if it is going to work for them usually begin with capsules. This capsule form makes it easier for the consumer to increase or decrease the dose of CBD depending on their reaction to the product. Capsules generally contain 25mg of CBD and are suitable for a starter dose. The consumer or user can then increase in 25mg amounts by adding capsules to their daily routine until they find the perfect dose. Oil CBD oil is CBD extract combined with a carrier oil such as fractionated coconut oil or hemp oil. CBD oil is used in drops, from a dropper built into the top of the bottle. The oil is dropped into the mouth and held for a minute to give it a chance to make its way into the system through the mucus membranes. Tincture CBD tincture is similar to CBD oil but is mixed with alcohol as a solvent for the oily extract rather than a carrier oil. Tinctures are also used sublingually – drops under the tongue and held. Oils and tinctures are a less definite dose than capsules. Producers such as Violetta have 33.2mg in each 1ml drop. This is accurate as long as the drop is 1ml. Tinctures and oils are only as accurate in their dosage as the user. They make it easier to increase dosage as needed, but harder to lessen dosage. Topical CBD CBD can be applied in a topical suspension. A topical suspension can be in a gel or cream form. Many gels and creams have a natural base, relying on aloe vera or fruit and vegetable butter as the suspension. Topical CBD is used by applying it to the affected area. Take a small amount of cream or gel and massage into the site of pain. With topical use, there is no accurate dosage of CBD, so instructions tend to be that the product is used as and when needed rather than once a day or in set amounts. Inhaled CBD (Vapes) CBD has been available for a few years in the form of vape liquid or vape cartridges. Vaped CBD gets straight into the lungs and into the bloodstream very quickly. Although cartridges will have a measured dose, as will a bottle of vape liquid, it is impossible to deliver a measured dose to the user as most people vape individually. With the issues with substandard CBD vapes in recent years, inhaled CBD has become a less popular option for many users. CommentsComments are closed.
