The Quail Bell Crew is seeking four new volunteers to join our team:
• Fiction Editor • Poetry Editor • Art Editor • Assistant Editor (helps with both The Real and The Unreal verticals) Here's the commitment we seek for each of these roles: • Curate 5-10 new submissions for Quail Bell Magazine each week (from the submissions and direct solicitation) by sending acceptance and invitation emails. • Upload submissions to the back-end of our website as each writer/artist provides confirmation. • Select 1-3 writers/artists to feature in Q&As each month. • Provide 1-2 of their own pieces to be published every other month (reprints are totally encouraged!) • Participate in Zoom readings and other digital events showcasing art and literature. • Participate in book and 'zine projects as they come up. • Help promote Quail Bell Magazine and affiliated projects through Quail Bell Press & Productions. Total: Approx. 10 hours a week. Strongly preferred: Individuals who take initiative, are excited to be a part of a team, and are risk-takers who enjoy pitching new ideas and creating something innovative. Women, non-binary, and/or BIPOC folks. Geography doesn't matter. You can be based, anywhere! But do know that our founding editor and executive editor are based in EST, so most communication will take place during hours convenient for this time zone. Interested?
